<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-97TwM9YTq3k/U1E2XqLVwHI/AAAAAAAAAHo/qLYjLu_Ne5o/s1600/010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-97TwM9YTq3k/U1E2XqLVwHI/AAAAAAAAAHo/qLYjLu_Ne5o/s1600/010.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I recently finished working on the whole outfit shown in </span><a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/Barbie-Peplum-Tank-Top-Free-Crochet-Pattern" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;" target="_blank">Barbie Peplum Tank Top</a><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> (published on <a href="http://hubpages.com/_251xr5w4czqp5/user/new" target="_blank">HubPages</a>) and decided to split the writing of each pattern into different hubs/blog posts. I tried using a different style of stitch than I normally use, so the writing for just the Tank Top alone was already over 1,000 words.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So for this post, I will be sharing my notes on how to change the <a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/Barbie-Lace-Casual-Top-and-Mini-Skirt-Free-Crochet-Pattern" target="_blank">Barbie Mini Skirt</a> into a pair of Barbie Shorts. This is the shortest part out of the three (the last one being the <a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/Barbie-Duffle-Bag-Free-Crochet-Pattern" target="_blank">Barbie Duffle Bag</a>).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Since I do not want to rewrite the whole pattern, I will only be posting the notes I made on how to go about turning the skirt into shorts and not going more in depth on the stitch patterns I used for the design.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><b><u>Notes:</u></b></span><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Work the same pattern until you reach Round 10, <b>do not turn yet</b>.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Ch 8, sk 18 sts, sl st in the next st, turn.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><i>First leg:</i></span></li>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Round 11: Ch 2, (dc, sc) around, join, turn. (26)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Round 12: Ch 2, (dc, sc) around, join. (26)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Fasten off.</span></li>
</ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><i>Second leg:</i></span></li>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Follow the same st pattern by working an sc on a dc and a dc on an sc for 2 Rounds to match the First leg. (26)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Fasten off.</span></li>
</ul>
</ul>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Now you have finished transforming the Barbie Mini Skirt into a pair of Barbie Shorts. Have fun making this pair of Barbie Shorts for your doll.</span>Dezhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09133984763105168360noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5693627707400753974.post-32880197795787896812013-09-11T18:22:00.000+08:002013-09-11T18:22:06.463+08:00Barbie One Shoulder Cut Out Bodycon Dress<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Before I publish my next pattern, I thought I'd take the time to introduce my Pullip Rche (Ruhe Loussier), Rachel. Here she is reading the paper while waiting for me to start her photo shoot.</span></div>

<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 20.6875px; margin-bottom: 0.75em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">To continue with the ballet look I wanted to achieve after watching Barbie in the Pink Shoes, the next article of clothing in line is the wrap skirt.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 20.6875px; margin-bottom: 0.75em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">As a non-dancer, I cannot claim to be an expert as to what the right type of skirt a ballerina should wear while dancing, but I thought I will follow a basic rule of thumb: <strong>make sure it does not restrict movement</strong>. While A-line skirts should work fine, I thought I would try one that has a slit at the side and can easily be worn by tying around the waist.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 20.6875px; margin-bottom: 0.75em; padding: 0px;">

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have also changed the name of this blog from Barbie Doll Crochet Clothes to Fashion Doll Crochet Clothes to include my growing obsession in making clothes for other dolls.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">For the past few months, I have been focusing more on Pullip rather than Barbie, because I am looking for a change in pace when it comes to designing. This is the newest design I have recently published in <a href="http://hubpages.com/_251xr5w4czqp5/user/new" target="_blank">HubPages</a>, <a href="http://dezalyx.hubpages.com/hub/Barbie-Doll-Crochet-Clothes-Shell-Stitched-Skirt-A-Free-Pattern" target="_blank">Cropped Tube Top and Shell-Stitched Skirt</a>. The hat is from a different designer that I thought would look nice with the new outfit. Due to my desire to have no-snap clothes, I have come up with the design for the cropped tube top with ribbings to require no snap.</div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I have been writing in <a href="http://www.hubpages.com/_251xr5w4czqp5/user/new">HubPages</a> for a few weeks now, and I have found to my dismay, that I cannot publish all my patterns there for fear of being flagged for duplicate content. So, in order to share my patterns, I made this blog just for Barbie Doll Crochet Clothes.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This pattern is inspired by my original <a href="http://dezalyx.hubpages.com/hub/Barbie-Doll-Crochet-Clothes-Strapless-Bodycon-Dress-A-Free-Pattern">Bodycon Dress</a>. Because of the popularity of the peplum form, I added some ruffles at the waist.<br /> <br />The pattern that you can find here is similar to the form in the original Bodycon Dress, but the stitches are changed to match the ruffles better.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This dress was made specifically for Barbie Basics (or Model Muse).
